About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced Gardeners / Grounds Maintenance / Horticulture Team Leaders for upcoming opportunities across Melbourne’s Eastern/South Eastern Suburbs.

This is a hands-on outdoor role working across parks, gardens, schools, recreational reserves, roadsides, and community spaces. We are looking for reliable candidates with strong grounds maintenance experience who are comfortable operating equipment and working within a team environment.

Horticulture certificates and leadership experience is highly regarded but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform turf, garden, and general grounds maintenance
  • Plan, organise and co-ordinate jobs and staff.
  • Interact with clients.
  • Operate zero turn ride-on mowers (52”–72”), wide area mowers, and other landscaping equipment
  • Conduct brush cutting, hard edging, pruning, hedge trimming, and weed removal
  • Apply herbicides using knapsack sprayers where required
  • Carry out pre-start checks on mowers, trailers, and equipment
  • Load/unload and safely tow trailers carrying mowers and machinery
  • Use tablets and apps to log jobs and complete digital reporting
  • Maintain parks, recreational reserves, roadsides, and community areas to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, or similar outdoor maintenance roles
  • Experience operating ride-on mowers and outdoor maintenance equipment
  • Experience towing trailers and transporting equipment
  • Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on outdoor work
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (Manual licence highly regarded)
  • Valid Working With Children Check or ability to get one(WWCC)
  • Basic computer literacy and confidence using tablets/apps
